The thematic itinerary retraces stages of the artist’s life and visitors are transported into the heart of his works

Located between Bastille and Nation, in a former foundry of the 11th district of Paris, the Atelier des Lumières offers immersive digital exhibitions broadcasts continuously. The visual and musical work Produced by Culturespaces, created by Gianfranco Iannuzzi, Renato Gatto and Massimiliano Siccardi - with the musical collaboration of Luca Longobardi, immerses visitors in the paintings of Vincent van Gogh, projected on all the surface of the showroom. This journey into van Gogh’s greatest masterpieces, which are turned into moving images, gives colors of van Gogh’s paintings, a renewed impact.

From the Potato Eaters, Sunflowers and Starry Night to Bedroom at Arles, the exhibition highlights van Gogh’s expressive and powerful brushstrokes and is illuminated by the bold colors of his unique paintings. Warm hues give way to somber colors.

The immersive exhibition evokes van Gogh’s highly emotional, chaotic, and poetic inner world and highlights the constant interplay of light and shade.

You will see how the painter’s style evolved over the years and the different stages in his life.
